The Kaitag region has over the millennia been invaded by. Its multi-ethnic population have created a remarkably vibrant textile tradition known as Kaitag: Kaitag book fabric panels embroidered with vividly colored silks and incorporating Zoroastrian, Muslim, Christian, Jewish and pagan symbolism.
